Cambodian PM Encourages More Cultural Exchange and Promotion

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has encouraged more cultural exchange and promotion in order to attract more foreign visitors to the country. 'I would like to encourage and highly value the organisation of cultural exchange and cultural promotion, both bilaterally and multilaterally, to promote Cambodia's potential and attract as many international tourists as possible,' he said on his social media networks this afternoon. To promote the "Visit Siem Reap 2024" campaign as well as to celebrate the "Cambodia-China People-to-People Exchange Year 2024", Cambodia's Ministry of Tourism, the People's Administration of Henan Province and the Siem Reap Provincial Administration jointly organised 'Cambodia-China Cultural Tourism Exhibition' along with 'When Shaolin Meets Bokator at Angkor Event' at the Northern Part of Bayon Temple in Siem Reap this morning, the Premier continued. The aim is to promote tourism and cultural destinations together to attract more tour ists to Cambodia by exploring the potential of tourism, culture, civilisation and customs of the Cambodian people, Samdech Thipadei underlined. The event was presided over by Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Sok Soken and visiting H.E. Sun Shougang, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Henan Provincial Committee and Deputy Governor of Henan Province. The event attracted some 1,500 people, including Cambodia-Chinese high-ranking officials, tourism associations, journalists, relevant institutions, students, the general public, and Shaolin and Bokator martial art performers.
