Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, Acting Head of State and President of the Senate of Cambodia, received here yesterday at the Senate Palace a visiting delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) led by H.E. Tran Thanh Man, President of the VFF Central Committee.
On the occasion, both sides expressed their satisfaction with the growing progress in the ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the two countries and peoples.
Samdech Say Chhum highly valued the cooperation between the Cambodian and Vietnamese governments, which not only brought about peace and development to their respective countries, but also contributed to maintaining peace and stability in the region and the world.
The Acting Head of State also congratulated the two governments on their achievements in the border demarcation and border marker planting work.
For his part, H.E. Tran Thanh Man lauded Cambodia's strong economic growth and good prestige in the international arena.
He also congratulated Cambodia on her success in organising the recent Commune/Sangkat Council Election, which he said was an important basis for the successful organisation of the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
On the same day, the VFF delegation was also received by National Assembly President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin and Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.
