National Road 10 linking provinces in the northwest of Cambodia to the coastal province of Koh Kong is scheduled to start construction in March this year.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be held under the presidency of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport, said that once the construction finished, the National Road No. 10 will play a key role in linking provinces in the northwest of the country including Battambang, Pailin, Banteay Meanchey, and Pursat to Koh Kong province in the southwest.
It will also contribute to transporting agricultural products for export via the ports in Koh Kong and Preah Sihanouk provinces, H.E. Sun Chanthol said at a press conference held here at the Council of the Ministers yesterday.
The 197-kilometre-long corridor road will be built under a loan from China, from Samlot district of Battambang province to Koh Kong province, by crossing Veal Veng district of Pursat province.
