Senior Minister and Minister of Industry and Handicraft H.E. Cham Prasidh has led a delegation to attend the 7th UN Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) Least Developed Countries (LDC) Ministerial Conference in Vienna, Austria.
The update was shared recently in the post of the ministry's official Facebook page, adding that the senior minister's trip lasts from Nov. 22 to 29.
Delegations from 48 countries attended the gathering themed Building global partnerships: Enhancing growth and inclusiveness in LDCs.
Chaired by UNIDO Director General Mr. Li Yong, it identified innovative schemes and mechanisms by enabling partnership building and resource mobilisation for sustainable industrial development in LDCs.
On behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, H.E. Cham Prasidh shared his views to promote growth stability, human resource development and means to access markets among participating peers.
The participants agreed on a wide range of areas such as technical cooperation, investment, energy, infrastructure, promotion of youth and woman entrepreneurs, food security, and so on.
On the sidelines of the conference, the Cambodian delegation also held talks with various counterparts including World Bank delegate.
