MR RICHARD Phua Soo Siah suggested that MediaCorp review our SEA Games broadcast schedule and show key events on different channels (“Ensure sufficient Games coverage”; Thursday).
Mr Phua recounted that on Monday evening, he was watching the swimming events on Okto when the broadcast crossed over to the football match between Cambodia and Singapore. We thank Mr Phua for watching the Games on Okto and for his feedback.
MediaCorp aims to deliver the most comprehensive coverage of the Games possible.
To do so, on top of making Okto our dedicated free-to-air channel for the Games, we have 12 live streams providing coverage on Toggle (www.toggle.sg), our over-the-top service, available to everyone in Singapore.
If a game has not concluded during the time of its scheduled broadcast on Okto, we remind viewers via commentary and on-air crawlers to tune in to Toggle in good time to continue following the game.
We hope Mr Phua will continue to follow and support the Games as enthusiastically as he has been doing, and tune in to Toggle as an additional screen in the remaining days of the Games, arguably the most exciting in many years for Singaporeans.
