JERSEY CITY – An argument early this morning ended with a wife jabbing her husband with a knife that was sitting on the kitchen counter, according to Jersey City police reports.
The marital spat began after the 42-year-old husband returned to the couple’s Cator Avenue home around 3:30 a.m., reports said.
As the discussion grew more heated, the man’s 40-year-old wife picked up a black-handle knife and started swinging it at her husband, eventually cutting him on this right thigh, police reports said.
The wife left the house, but police were able to find her nearby, reports said.
The wife was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and taken to the Hudson County jail in Kearny.
The husband declined to pursue taking out a temporary restraining order against his wife, reports said.
