H.E. Say Samal, Minister of Environment and President of National Council for Sustainable Development, held talks here yesterday with newly appointed UNESCO Representative to Cambodia Mr. Sardar Umar Alam.
According to the ministry's news release, in the meeting, H.E. Say Samal informed his guest of the Royal Government of Cambodia's policies to boost research on science and technology and the ministry's strong support for more human resource training in these fields.
For his part, Mr. Sardar Umar Alam voiced his support for the establishment of cooperation between the Ministry of Environment and UNESCO in human resource training project in the areas of science and technology.
UNESCO is planning to send its experts to Cambodia to conduct a study of this project in the near future.
