Cambodian delegation led by H.E. Mrs. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, has attended the closing ceremony of the 4th Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Culture Expo and the 9th Dunhuang Tour-Silk Road International Tourism Festival in China.
Taking place on August 31 in Dunhuang city of Gansu province, the events were participated by some 1,000 delegates from 30 silk-road countries.
Addressing the function, H.E. Mrs. Phoeurng Sackona, on behalf of all participating Cambodian delegation, underlined the significance of the events not only in promoting the development of economy, tourism and culture within international community, but also in being a symbol of peace and unity toward win-win cooperation among the silk-road countries.
On the sideline of the event, the minister held separate meetings with H.E. Zhang Xu, China's Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, and H.E. Tang Renjian, Governor of Gensu province.
The Cambodian delegation also watched a documentary movie titled Angkor Wat temple-Mogao Grottoes Dialogue and visited Dunhuang museum.
