India has reiterated its stand to continue supporting the development of Cambodia which will consequently lead to mutual benefit for both the countries and peoples.
The commitment was made by newly appointed Ambassador of India to Cambodia H.E. Ms. Manika Jain during a meeting with Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of National Assembly of Cambodia here in Phnom Penh recently.
H.E. Ms. Manika Jain recalled the Government of India's support and contribution to Cambodia's peace and development to date and outlined current and potential cooperation.
She also expressed her optimism of the high-profile visit of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen to India that it will further boost understanding and friendship between the two nations.
For his part, Samdech Heng Samrin spoke highly of long-lasting relations, solidarity and collaboration in all sectors between Cambodia and India.
The NA president was positive that H.E. Ms. Manika Jain in her role will continue to contribute to Cambodia's progress in terms of trade, tourism, health, and information technology.
He also requested her to help speed up direct flight connection between Cambodia and India as soon as possible.
