His Majesty the King Extends Condolences to the President of Lebanon

AKP Phnom Penh, August 05, 2020 — His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, has sent a message of condolences to General Michel Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic, regarding a double explosion in Beirut.
“It is with sorrow that I learned the tragic news of a double explosion which rocked the port area of the capital of Beirut yesterday, causing many deaths and thousands of injuries,” wrote the Cambodian monarch in his message dated today.
“In this difficult time, I would like to express to Your Excellency, on behalf of the Cambodian people and on my own behalf, our most sincere condolences and to assure you of our entire solidarity,” continued His Majesty the King.
“We extend our deep compassion and sympathy to the families of the victims, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” said His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni.
Beirut was rocked on Tuesday by a double explosion, killing around 100 people and injuring more than 4,000 others.
