AKP Phnom Penh, H.E. Ly Sovann, Director of Communicable Disease Control Department and a Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health this evening confirmed the Royal Government’s decision to temporary close down Aeon Mall I.
The decision was taken after a Cambodian woman, who was later tested positive for COVID-19, has entered the mall.
“We don’t know from whom she got infected with the virus,” said H.E. Ly Sovann, adding that health officers are now tracking down those who came in contact with the woman.
According to the spokesperson, the woman living on the 60-metre road in Phnom Penh has also travelled to Siem Reap province.
With the new patient, the total confirmed cases in Cambodia rose to 309, of them 299 have successfully recovered.
