Government’s Seven Cornerstones for Private Sector Promotion

Ministry of Economy and Finance has put forward seven cornerstones to resolve and promote private sector, especially enhancing investment opportunities in Cambodia.

The gist was shared by Senior Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance H.E. Aun Porn Moniroth when chairing the 6th Meeting of the Law, Tax and Good Governance Working Group of the Government-Private Sector Forum here in Phnom Penh recently.

Mr. Bretton G. Sciaroni, Co-chairman of Working Group, and representatives of concerned government institutions and private sector also participated in the meeting.

The seven cornerstones include the work of the Committee for Tax Dispute Resolution, draft law on financial management, mechanism for tobacco industrial management, facilitation for work card application in tobacco industry, notification on establishment of enterprises and companies, public lighting tax on alcohol, and vehicle industry law enforcement.

The Royal Government of Cambodia is working hard to enhance cooperation with private sector in order to attract the flow of investment in Cambodia, H.E. Aun Porn Moniroth underlined.
