Fire engulfs casino in Cambodian border city, several injured: media

A blaze swept through a portion of a 18-floor casino in northwestern Cambodia's Poipet city late on Monday, Trend reported citing Xinhua.

The fire broke out at 10:10 p.m. local time at the Golden Casino in Kbal Spean village in Poipet city of Banteay Meanchey province, the Fresh News reported.

Firefighters were called to put out the fire, as several people were reportedly injured, it said. The cause of the blaze and the number of casualties remain unknown.

Pictures posted on local media showed the fire ripping through a part of the casino building.
