Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth has received visiting Vice President of the World Bank for East Asia and Pacific Region Ms. Victoria Kwakwa here in Phnom Penh.
In the meeting taking place yesterday, H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth briefed Ms. Victoria Kwakwa about Cambodia's economic situation sustaining macro-economic stability and rapid growth of around 7 percent annually.
The deputy prime minister continued that the Royal Government of Cambodia is working hard to achieve its goals to be an upper middle-income country in 2030 and become developed country in 2050.
Ms. Victoria Kwakwa spoke highly of Cambodia's strong economic development, and reaffirmed the Bank's stand to continue good collaboration with Cambodia in all sectors, especially in economy.
She also highlighted the recent completion of framework of Cambodia-World Bank partnership 2019-2023 worth US$1 billion and thanked the ministry for its contribution to the preparation of the strategic document.
From his end, H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth deeply thanked the World Bank for being part of the endeavour to promote the development of Cambodia so far.
