Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries H.E. Veng Sakhon received here yesterday visiting new Dean of Nagoya University of Japan, Dr. Satoru Tsuchikawa.
In the courtesy meeting, Dr. Satoru Tsuchikawa briefed H.E. Minister on different programmes of cooperation between Nagoya University and some universities in Cambodia, including the Royal University of Agriculture, Royal University of Phnom Penh, and Royal University of Law and Economics.
For his part, H.E. Veng Sakhon expressed warm welcome to Dr. Satoru Tsuchikawa and thanked the Government of Japan and Nagoya University for their effective contribution to human resource development in Cambodia. He also lauded the good cooperation between the Nagoya University and Cambodian universities.
Two senior officials (a director general and a department deputy director) at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries have finished their doctoral degree from Nagoya University, while five others are pursuing their doctoral degree there for 2019-2021.
