The Cambodia Chefs Association was awarded with four gold medals and a bronze medal from the Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge organised in Bangkok from May 31 to June 4, 2017.
According to Mr. Long Bunhor, Head of the Cambodian delegation, at this international competition, Cambodian chefs took part in three different challenges, including Mekong River Culinary Challenge, Man Course Duck and Pasta Free Style, winning three gold, a gold and a bronze medals, respectively.
President of Cambodia Chefs Association Mr. Long Bora said the association has so far sent its members to participate in 14 international culinary competitions in Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar, Vietnam and Shanghai of China.
He also expressed the association's commitment to attend other international competitions in order to promote the Khmer food industry.
Cambodia Chefs Association was founded in 2012 and is now composed of more than 100 members.
The giant Nom Ansorm, Cambodian sticky rice cake, which earned a Guinness World Record in 2015, was cooked by the Cambodia Chefs Association, especially for the Angkor Sankranta celebration.
