The Cambodia-Japan Friendship Month will be held here from Oct. 19 to Nov. 18, 2018, according to a press release from the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia AKP received this morning.
This month-long event is part of activities to commemorate the 65th anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Cambodia, it said, adding that many events will be organised by various governmental and private organisations in Cambodia.
The embassy is going to hold a joint press conference on the upcoming event at its Multi-purpose Hall on Oct. 16 afternoon, during which H.E. Horinouchi Hidehisa, Ambassador of Japan, will deliver his remarks on the occasion.
Then there will be briefing from each event organiser, including Dr. Vuthy Monyrath, President of Japan Alumni of Cambodia (organiser of ASCOJA Conference), Mr. Seang Nimorl, Deputy Director of Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Centre (CJCC), Ms. Kimura Aya, Organising Committee for Bon Odori Festival, Japanese Association in Cambodia, Mr. Hamada Yuki, Director of Japan Foundation Asia Centre (organiser of Japanese Film Festival), JNTO Bangkok Office (Japanese Tourism Festival), and Mr. Kanda Yugo, Organising Committee for Clean City Challenge.
