Cambodian canoe athletes has departed Cambodia for exposure visit to and attend joint training with Japanese peers in Japan.
Official send-off ceremony took place late last week here in Phnom Penh under the presidency of Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng and H.E. Mr. Mikami Masahiro, Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia.
Samdech Sar Kheng is also the President of Cambodian Canoe and Rowing Federation.
According to the sharing from the Japanese embassy, the Japan trip was made possible through the so-called JENESYS 2019 youth exchange programme.
Lasting from September 16 to 25, continued the source, the Cambodian athletes will also join a canoe tournament in Komatsu city, Ishikawa Prefecture � in addition to the joint training.
The Japanese embassy hopes that the visit will contribute to further building friendship between Cambodia and Japan.
