A total of US$5,416,714 was earned from the selling of Angkor Archaeological Park entry passes in June 2019, pointed out the Angkor Enterprise that manages the ticket sale, in a press release issued this morning.
The figure represents a decrease in 16.40 percent compared to the same period last year, added the same source, stressing that the tickets were sold to 126,602 foreign tourists.
For the first half of 2019, the Angkor Archaeological Park attracted 1,244,443 foreign visitors, a decrease of 8.29 percent compared to the same period of 2018, generating a total income of nearly US$56 million, down 9.34 percent.
Of the total amount, almost US$2.5 million was donated to the Cambodian Kantha Bopha Foundation to support the operation of Kantha Bopha Children's Hospitals.
