Delegation of Cambodian People's Party (CPP) led by H.E. Khuon Sudary has been on a visit in Colombo, Sri Lanka to attend the 3rd Asia-Europe Political Forum (AEPF) and the 32nd Standing Committee Meeting of International Conference of Asia Political Parties (ICAPP) from April 5 to 7, 2019.
According to the recent CPP's press release, while the AEPF forum would discuss the roles of political parties in solving the challenges facing social security and career issues of the growing elderly population, the ICAPP meeting would discuss issues on peace and regional and global cooperation regarding joint ICAPP goals.
H.E. Khuon Sudary would address congratulatory statement and deliver commentary on the growing elderly population in Cambodia, its effects on social security issues, and the emerging solutions within national and global context. She would particularly highlight the Royal Government's policies and programmes related to the issue.
The Cambodian delegation would also report the follow-up progress of the Asian Cultural Council (ACC) after its official announcement early this year in Siem Reap province with the participation of about 700 national and international experts from 50 countries, representing ICAPP and Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF) member countries.
AEPF is one of the ICAPP forums organised as a platform to foster regular and close cooperation between ICAPP and political parties in Europe, particularly the four big political groups in European Parliamentary system.
