Cambodia is conducting a research on Macroeconomic and Financial Linkage: Analysis and Implications for Cambodia's Economy.
Officially signed in Phnom Penh late last week, the research is jointly conducted by the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) and the Bank of Korea-Knowledge Partnership Programme (BOK-KPP).
According to NBC, the joint-research programme would give the NBC's researchers the opportunity to closely collaborate with researchers from BOK and Yonsei University aiming to enhance the analytical skills and study of the macroeconomic and financial linkages by applying an economic model.
The expected outcomes are to produce a new paper for researchers as well as an input to the policies, especially for maintaining a stronger financial stability in support of the development of the economic and financial system in Cambodia. The paper is expected to be finished and released in a seminar in December 2018.
