SEOUL, A YouTuber has been indicted on charges of installing spy cameras at dozens of early voting stations in the run-up to the recent parliamentary elections, prosecutors said Tuesday. The 48-year-old man was accused of secretly placing cameras, disguised as communications equipment, at 40 early voting stations in Seoul, Incheon, Busan and seven other cities nationwide in the weeks leading up to the April 10 elections. Investigations have shown that he secretly recorded conversations between government employees at some of the polling stations on a total of five occasions with the cameras. The Incheon District Prosecutors Office said Tuesday that the man was indicted under physical detention on charges of trespassing and violations of the Communications Secret Protection Act. In the previous police investigation, he said he wanted to monitor the National Election Commission's manipulation of the early voting turnout. Police have earlier referred two other suspected accomplices to prosecutors and are c urrently investigating nine other suspected accomplices. Source: Yonhap News Agency
