Three Multi-Purpose Satellite Terminals of Phnom Penh Autonomous Port Inaugurated

Three major multi-purpose satellite terminals of Phnom Penh Autonomous Port, including TS11 in Phnom Penh, UM2 in Thbong Khmum province, and LM26 in Prey Veng province, have officially been inaugurated late last week in Thbong Khmum province. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by H.E. Peng Ponea, Minister of Public Works and Transport, with the participation of Thbong Khmum provincial leaders, Phnom Penh Autonomous Port's management and staff, and local residents. On the occasion, H.E. Peng Ponea mentioned that to achieve the outlook, political path and Pentagonal Strategy of the Royal Government of Cambodia in the 7th mandate, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) had launched a priority plan to strengthen and promote the port development and reform to make the logistics costs be competitive, and to provide fast, transparent and effective services. According to MPWT, the three multi-purpose satellite terminals are additional achievements of Phnom Penh Autonomous Port which would effi ciently serve the operation of transferring, loading and unloading of cargos such as construction materials, steel, marble, animal feed, pillar concrete, rubber, rice, agricultural products, and more.
