Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has encouraged the promotion of gender equality in the national and sub-national administrations.

While presiding over the closing ceremony of the Ministry of Interior’s annual meeting held here this afternoon, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said the national and sub-national administrations should consider placing more women at different ranks to encourage their participation in the national and local development.

“Many requests for nomination for different positions and missions have been submitted to me daily, but most candidates are men,” he underlined.

The Premier also took the opportunity to encourage all stakeholders to further enhance and promote the decentralisation and deconcentration reforms and join hands in the fight against fake news.
