KELANTAN GOVT PROVIDES RM300,000 ASSISTANCE TO STATE TABUNG HAJI

KOTA BHARU, The Kelantan government has provided assistance totalling RM300,000 to the state Tabung Haji management to facilitate the travel process of 2,362 Haj pilgrims in the state. Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud said the assistance is given annually including this year, especially during the Haj season. He said it is given to manage all matters related to Kelantan's Haj pilgrims. 'Therefore, I hope pilgrims use this opportunity that Allah has bestowed on them to increase their acts of worship in the Holy Land,' he said. 'Additionally, they (Haj pilgrims) also need to have much patience because they will face many tests while performing the Haj, and they will also have to take care of human relationships.' Mohd Nassuruddin said haj pilgrims are asked to take care of their health and to drink enough water due to the hotter weather in Saudi Arabia. "Tonight alone, a total of 141 pilgrims departed to KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport) before heading to the Holy Land," he told reporters after giving out souvenir bags to Haj pilgrims at the Sultan Ismail Petra Perak Jubilee Islamic Complex.
