Highest Title of Royal Academy of Cambodia Bestowed upon Incoming Prime Minister

“Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit”, the highest title of the Royal Academy of Cambodia, has been bestowed upon the incoming Prime Minister H.E. Dr. Hun Manet.

This title was granted by His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia to H.E. Dr. Hun Manet in a royal decree dated Aug. 8, after he appointed him the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia for the 7th Legislature of National Assembly yesterday.

H.E. Dr. Hun Manet, former Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, and Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army, gained support from the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) that won a landslide victory during the July National Election as the future Prime Minister candidate in December 2021.

H.E. Dr. Hun Manet was born on Oct. 20, 1977 in Koh Thmar village, Memut district, Kampong Cham province (now Thbong Khmum province) during the Khmer Rouge rule of Cambodia. He married to Pich Chanmony with two daughters and one son.
