The National Election Committee (NEC) has listed 11,622 voters for the 4th Election of Capital, Provincial, Municipal, District, and Khan Councils next month. In a meeting with stakeholders held at the NEC's headquarters on April 19, NEC member H.E. Heng Sileng noted that his committee has officially endorsed the preliminary voter list, which is scheduled to be published on April 20. The list will be available physically and via online sources at voterlist.nec.gov.kh and the mobile app (NEC KH), he added. The publication of the preliminary list aims to invite reviews and feedback from the voters as well as those concerned about the accuracy of their identities and the list. At least 209 polling stations have been designated for the election that will happen on May. 26, 2024. The Election of Capital, Provincial, Municipal, District, and Khan Councils is a proportional, non-universal election in which members of the commune and Sangkat councils are voters for two councils, including the capital, provincia l council; and municipal, district, and Khan council. There are 1,652 communes and 209 municipalities, districts, and khans for the election, and there are 559 seats for members of the capital and provincial councils and 3,641 seats for municipal, district, and khan councils.
