A delegation of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) has been on a visit in Cambodia to exchange views on bilateral cooperation and study more trade and investment opportunities and potential.
The Chinese delegation led by H.E. Gao Yunlong, Vice Chairman of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Chairman of the ACFIC, was received here yesterday by H.E. Sok Chenda Sophea, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and Secretary General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).
According to a news release of CDC, H.E. Sok Chenda Sophea expressed warm welcome to the delegation, and informed his guests about the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC)'s support policies to increase trust among all investors, as well as about Cambodia Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025 whose vision is to modernise Cambodia's industrial structure from a labour-intensive industry to a skill-based industry by 2025.
H.E. Gao Yunlong lauded Cambodia's fast development and highly valued the RGC's achievements, especially in attracting more and more foreign investments. He also highlighted good cooperation between Cambodia and China through the use of coordinating mechanisms, two-way dialogue, and study visit exchange which have positively responded to the framework of carrying out the One Belt One Road initiative.
According to the latest statistics of CDC, by April 2018, the volume of China's investment in Cambodia was in total some US$17 billion.
