Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC) is initiating a so-called 40-kilometre journey into history to promote awareness of the country's historical milestones among younger generations.
Lawmaker and UYFC President H.E. Hun Many shared the announcement of the initiative recently, adding that the event will take place from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1.
The walk, he added, intends to create unity and solidarity among the youths and strengthen their capacity in solving concrete problems as well as to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Solidarity Front for the Development of the Cambodian Motherland (SFDCM).
About 500 youths interested will be selected to join the journey heading to the Pi Thnou Memorial Monument in Kratie province erected to symbolise the SFDCM on Dec. 2 back in 1978.
