United World Wrestling (UWW) is positive that Cambodia will succeed in hosting the international events, especially the SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games 2023 and the Asian Youth Games 2029 in Cambodia.

The optimism was expressed by UWW Development Director Ms. Deqa Niamkey following the completion of an international wrestling workshop here in Phnom Penh last weekend.

Ms. Deqa Niamkey spoke highly of Cambodia for the successful training of wrestling arbitrators, judges and coaches and hosting the Southeast Asian Wrestling Championship 2022 taking place from Dec. 16 to 18.

She was pleased to contribute to Cambodia’s wrestling, particularly in terms of knowledge sharing and fostering the relation of the country with its peers in Southeast Asia.

She thanked the Cambodian government for the warm hospitality during the Southeast Asian Wrestling Championship 2022; international training for wrestling arbitrators, judges and coaches; and the training camp for Cambodian and foreign wrestlers from 7 countries from Dec. 7 to 19.
