The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights will hold various activities at the National Olympic Stadium, Phnom Penh on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 14:00 to 20:00 to mark the International Human Rights Day (Dec. 10).
According to a press release, themed Youth standing up for human rights, the forthcoming celebration will be organised in partnership with the Cambodian Human Rights Committee, the UN Country Team, and the European Union Delegation.
The event will help shine a light on the leadership role of youth as a source of inspiration for a better future.
Under our global call to action Stand Up for Human rights, all will be celebrating the potential of youth as constructive agents of change, amplify their voices and engage a broad range of global audiences in the promotion and protection of rights.
The 2019 Youth Human Rights Champion Awards will be awarded to exceptional young people who have promoted human rights through their participation in their communities in Cambodia.
