The United Nations has pledged to continue cooperation with the Royal Government of Cambodia, according to the spokesperson at Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mr. Chum Sounry.
The commitment was made by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative Ms. Claire Van der Vaeren during her farewell meeting with Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn here in Phnom Penh recently.
Ms. Claire Van der Vaeren who is also UN Resident Coordinator in Cambodia spoke highly of Cambodia's success in UN peacekeeping operations, and its encouraging progress with the national sustainable development goals, claiming the country's status as a lower-middle income country.
For his part, H.E. Prak Sokhonn congratulated Ms. Claire Van der Vaeren with her productive five-year mission which contributed significantly to strengthening development cooperation in Cambodia.
The senior minister underlined that the effort plays a crucial role in promoting national economic growth, social affairs, human resources, good governance, human rights and sustainable development goals in Cambodia.
