U.S. Professors and Students Seek Understanding on Cambodia’s Labour Sector

A visiting group of professors and students from Cornell University and Buffalo State College of the United States of America are seeking understanding on labour and vocational skills sector in Cambodia.

The intention was shared by that U.S. delegation in a recent meeting with Cambodian Minister of Labour and Vocational Training H.E. Ith Samheng here in Phnom Penh.

The U.S. delegation spoke highly of Cambodia's robust development, especially in the field of labour and vocational training, driving the national economic growth year on year.

H.E. Ith Samheng shared Cambodia's experience, lessons learned related to the field such as the employee-employer conflict, demonstration, workers' monthly minimum wage, workers' rights protection, and beyond.

He also briefed the U.S. delegation on the successful rollout of the national labour development strategic plan to bring the success in the area to a new level.
