The new American Centre at the U.S. Embassy Phnom Penh will be launched early next week, said a press release from the embassy issued today.
U.S. Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. William Heidt will participate in a ribbon cutting ceremony on Feb. 27, 2018, it pointed out.
According to the press release, the Centre will host a variety of programmes including an English Club, Film Club, Book Club, and speakers on various topics. The Centre will also house EducationUSA advising services, which offers free, unbiased, and comprehensive information about educational institutions in the United States and guidance to qualified individuals on how best to access those opportunities.
Formerly known as the Information Resource Centre, the American Centre contains more than 1,500 books, magazines, audio books and documentary films on a variety of subjects, and research databases for students and the general public.
