The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given the green light to two new investment projects with a total capital of US$45.4 million.

The new projects belong to AROMA SUCCESS GARMENT CO., LTD. and QI HENG XIN FACTORY CO., LTD., the CDC said in its press release issued this morning.

The first company will invest US$36.6 million in setting up a garment factory in Samrong Torng district, Kampong Speu province, while the second will inject US$8.8 million in shoe and bag factory in Roka Khpos district, Takhmao town, Kandal province, it pointed out.

More than 6,000 jobs are expected to be generated for local residents by the two projects, said the same source.
