Travels via trains and water taxi will be free of charge during the upcoming July 29 general elections � convenience offered especially to eligible Cambodians to go to cast their vote.
The news was circulated via local media report quoting Director General of Transportation General Department of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport H.E. Chhuon Vun underscoring that the transportation means are operating every day.
For the railway service, he added, though some parts of the railroads are being renovated, it is operating back and forth between Phnom Penh capital and the provinces of Kampong Chhnang, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey (Serey Sophoan), and Preah Sihanouk.
As for the water taxi, it is running from Phnom Penh's Prek Phnov to Takmao town of Kandal province.
The director general also encouraged commercial bus and taxi services not to over-charge travellers when they travel to cast their vote.
