Traffic Accidents Kill 10 People during Water Festival Celebration

Traffic accidents have claimed 10 lives and injured 77 people during the three-day celebration of Water Festival, according to the National Police's record.

A total of 36 cases of traffic accidents were recorded from Nov. 10-12, 2019, the same source pointed out.

Major causes of road accidents were excessive speeding, overtaking and other violations of traffic laws.

Millions of people travelled across the country, especially to Phnom Penh capital, during the annual Water Festival, one of the biggest and most popular festivals in Cambodia.
