The Ministry of Tourism inaugurated here yesterday the Tourism Information Centre at Phnom Penh International Airport.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by H.E. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism. Mr. A�ric Delobel, CEO of Cambodia Airports, the company that develops and manages the network of international airports in Cambodia, was also on hand.
On the occasion, H.E. Thong Khon urged the centre's staff to be friendly and to provide true and updated information to all passengers.
H.E. Minister said Cambodia is expected to attract 11 million foreign visitors by 2025 and 15 million by 2030, thus generating some US$10 billion income and employing over 1.5 million workers.
For his part, Mr. A�ric Delobel spoke highly of the establishment of the information centre, stressing that this is part of new infrastructure improvement to better serve the passengers. Last year, he pointed out, Phnom Penh International Airport welcomed more than 4 million passengers and the figure would reach 7 million by 2020.
