Ten young politics oriented Cambodians will visit Japan as a part of the JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youth) 2019, from July 17 to 25.
According to a press release of the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia, under the theme of Japanese multiparty democracy, the group will attend lectures and visit legislative, administrative and judicial institutions in Tokyo. They will also visit Yamagata Prefecture and observe the process of a House of Councilors election.
In both places, it added, they will visit notable sites and historical buildings as well to deepen their understanding of Japan.
With this 3rd programme, following previous programmes done after the General Election in 2018, the number of the young Cambodians participants will reach 30 (including members of 16 political parties and former CNRP), pointed out the same source.
Through the programme, said the press release, it is expected that the participants, who will lead the future of Cambodia, will enrich their views on Japanese multiparty democracy as reference for the democratic development of their country.
