Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) earlier this week approved ten new investment projects with a total investment capital of US$83.3 million.
According to CDC, the new approved projects cover the production of clothing, travel goods, household appliances, furniture, light bulbs, batteries, etc.
The projects belong to ten different companies located in Phnom Penh capital and in the provinces of Takeo, Kampong Speu, Svay Rieng and Preah Sihanouk, it added.
In total, almost 5,000 jobs are expected to be created for the locals, said the same source.
