Students Required to Show Vaccination Card Only Once on First Day of School

Students do not have to present their COVID-19 vaccination card every time they enter their schools, but only once on the first day of school resumption.

The notification was shared in a letter dated Nov. 3 of Minister of Education, Youth and Sports H.E. Hang Chuon Naron to directors of Provincial and Municipal Departments of Education, Youth and Sports.

If necessary, the letter added, students can only show the copy of the card.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen asked the ministry and provincial and municipal administrations to consider the use of copy of the vaccination card in order to avoid the loss and damage of original card.

Public and private educational institutions at all levels across the country were allowed to reopen from Nov. 1 onwards.
