Cambodia's health clinics and hospitals across the country has provided treatment to about 7.75 million outpatients and 633,000 inpatients for the first eight months of 2018.
The update was shared during a recent progress review meeting chaired by Health Minister H.E. Mam Bunheng here in Phnom Penh, and pro-poor service provision among the patients supported by the equity fund of the government were also reflected.
Around 17 and 13 percent of the mentioned out- and inpatients respectively were covered by the equity fund � budget allocated by the Royal Government of Cambodia to health clinics and hospitals to support very poor patients who cannot afford the treatment.
In addition to the services, health clinics alone in Cambodia have serviced over 51 percent of child deliveries among a total 188,760 mothers throughout the period.
Around 8 percent of the total deliveries � at the health clinics and beyond � has been covered by the equity fund.
H.E. Mam Bunheng encouraged his line officials to continue working hard and building their capacity to ensure the most effective health service.
