Siem Reap province is hosting the 5th Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy Summit (ACMECS) and the 6th Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam (CLMV) Tourism Senior Officials and Ministers Meetings from Nov. 1 to 5.
Tourism senior officials and ministers from the two sub-regions participate in the meetings.
According to a recent press release of the Ministry of Tourism, the 5th ACMECS will be chaired by Cambodia, and the 6th CLMV by Laos.
The opening ceremony of ACMECS-CLMV Tourism Senior Officials and Ministers Meetings will start with welcome remarks by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia on a recorded video clip.
Participating tourism senior officials and ministers will discuss and evaluate the strategy and plan for a joint tourism sector restoration and development to foster sub-regional cooperation in line with the current and the future tourism trends.
