Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, held talked in Beijing this morning with H.E. Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China (NPC), during his first official visit to China.

In the meeting, H.E. Zhao Leji extended a warm welcome to Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet and congratulated the Cambodian People’s Party on its landslide victory at the July 23 National Election. He strongly believed that Cambodia under the leadership of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet will continue to develop, while China will continue to support Cambodia in its socio-economic development process.

H.E. Zhao Leji also highlighted that the friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between both nations will contribute to building a Community of Common Destiny in the new era.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his gratitude and appreciation for China’s continued support to Cambodia.

The Cambodian Premier also took the opportunity to convey greetings from Cambodian leaders to H.E. Zhao Leji and thanked the Chinese people and government for their significant contribution to Cambodia’s socio-economic development process, such as timely support to Cambodia during the difficult times of COVID 19 pandemic.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also hoped to see the Cambodian legislative body and the NPC continue to build more cooperation, especially on the exchange of visits and experience in the future.
