The Embassy of Japan in Cambodia will conduct Sakura Caravan for Promoting Japanese Language Education and Culture at different high schools across the country, starting from this week.
According to the embassy's press release, organised in cooperation with Department of Japanese at the Institute of Foreign Languages, Royal University of Phnom Penh and co-sponsored by Japan Foundation, the forthcoming event will take place in Kampong Cham, Kampong Thom, Siem Reap, Kandal, Kampong Speu, Takeo, and Kampot provinces from Feb. 13 to 22, 2020.
In the programme, Cambodian lecturers and students of Japanese Language departments and courses in Phnom Penh visit various areas throughout Cambodia to provide Cambodian students there with opportunities to understand Japanese culture, technology and other benefits in Japanese language education.
It is expected that all the high school students will enjoy Japanese culture and feel closer to Japan through this programme which has been conducted annually since 2013.
