Following an article released by a local newspaper, Borneo Bulletin dated 10th June 2017 and a report received from the social media in regards to the singing entertainment organised by organiser at the Airport Mall during the "Carnival Raya Biskita-Raya Berkat ATB" expo, was found to be violating the rules of the Trade Expo/exhibition.
The Trade Expo organised by Syarikat Da Adwa's found to have not applied for permission from the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs as the Licensing Officer for Public Entertainment as mentioned in the Public Entertainment Act, Chapter 181, in organising a singing entertainment on Thursday, 8th June 2017. In line with the offence, Syarikat Da Adwa's is not permitted to organise any types of activity which are contained in the category of Public Entertainment under the Public Entertainment Act (chapter 181) for a period of one year starting from the date of the letter issued to the company. Companies and members of the public are reminded that the Ministry of Home Affairs as the Public Entertainment Licensing authority stresses the importance of organisers and the public to apply for permission from the Licensing Officer for any activities under the Public Entertainment Act (chapter 181).
