Cambodia exported 104,261 tons of rubber in the first six months of this year, a 24 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
Figures from the biannual report of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries recorded the progress adding that the average price of rubber was US$1,400 per ton.
As of June, 233, 212 hectares of total rubber cultivation land were harvested, the report continued.
Cambodia exported most of its rubber as the Kingdom does not have factories to process the material, and Vietnam is the biggest buyer of Cambodian rubber, followed by Malaysia.
Last year, Cambodia exported 210,000 tons of rubber, generating about US$300 million.
