Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has announced that the royal government will be stricter over the promotion of civil servants and armed personnel.
Today, I would like to announce that I will review whether or not the promotion of officials at all ministries and institutions so far are in accordance with the law, he said in a Facebook post this morning.
The Premier advised all ministers to pay high attention to this issue. All promotions need to follow the law, not order or nepotism, he underlined.
According to the law, he added, a civil servant can be promoted every two years.
Cambodia employs some 206,000 civil servants, 40 percent of them are women, show the figures from the Ministry of Civil Service.
