Preah Sihanouk provincial administration is planning to transform a natural creek into a tourism destination to serve tourism sector in the province.
Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province, H.E. Kuoch Chamroeun led last weekend relevant officials to inspect the tourism potential of Prek Teuk Sap in Ream commune, Prey Nup district.
There are flooded forests and various species of plants along with fish, birds and dolphins in the area which are the potential to attract tourists.
H.E. Kuoch Chamroeun instructed competent officials and local authorities to inspire the villagers to join the protection of the environment and plant more mangrove trees along the watercourse.
The provincial governor strongly hoped that in the future, Prek Teuk Sap area will become an attractive eco-tourism destination for both local and foreign tourists.
