The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) together with the Soonchunhyang University Medical Centre organised Cambodia-Korea Infection Control Workshop for Nursing at Preah Ang Duong Hospital in Phnom Penh.
The workshop, held on Aug. 14, is for infection control targeted to nurses in Preah Ang Duong Hospital.
According to a KOICA's press release, the team from Soonchunhyang University Medical Centre has visited Cambodia several times before and founded critical infectious issues which can be and should be controlled. The team has decided a topic for training especially nurses, Infection Control and Safety management in hospital which are the essential programmes for not only patients, but also hospital staff safety.
During the workshop, two Korean nurses specialised in infection control have delivered lectures regarding prevention of infection and infection control in operation room. 26 nurses from Preah Ang Duong Hospital have participated in the workshop. They shared from basic information to practical methods for control infection.
All participants showed their gratitude to KOICA and Soonchunhyang University Medical Centre for supporting and they showed a high level of participation and commitment throughout the course to promote capacity building for a broad understanding of the prevention of infection and infection control in operation room.
